Birthday party success

What a whirlwind of a weekend! For those of you who were unable to attend – you missed a great birthday party. Even though the parade was cancelled, we had one of our own! The Varsity football game was postponed due to lightening, but we headed down to Jake O’s to begin our party early. Jake O’s was expecting us as early as 8 PM in case of bad weather. They provided us delicious hors d’oeuvres!

Saturday began at 2 PM with a cruise around town in Lee Nelson’s army deuce and half truck! We had a blast, reminiscing and school songs were sung! At 5 PM we gathered at Jake O’s again for a yummy buffet meal with birthday cake and Whitey’s personal size malts for dessert. Everything went off smoothly from the decorations, menu, Lee (MC) greeting with guitar playing and singing, impromptu fun-filled performance by Glenn Hunter on aging, silent auction, and chatter, chatter, chatter! We sure didn’t need background tunes for this party.
